Our PE Curriculum

Intent

Through our PE curriculum we look to develop the following areas:

  • Improve fitness
  • Develop social skills and collaboration
  • Develop resilience 
  • Develop positive mental and physical wellbeing
  • Develop motor skills
  • Develop a love of sport and physical activity
  • Encourage children to participate in extra-curricular sport both in and out of school
  • Expose the children to a variety of different sports and activities

Implementation

  • PE is taught through the our PPA offer and by the class teacher. 
  • The annual overview of PE activities enables children to access a wide variety of sports.
  • The children develop key fundamental movement and motor skills through the PE provision.

Term 3 After School Football with Premier Sport

Premier Sport will be running Football Club again during Term 3 - book early to avoid disappointment. Football will take place on the school field (weather permitting).

Dates, Times and Year Group:

  • Wednesday 5th January - 16th February 3.30pm - 4.30pm (Years 1 and 2)
  • Thursday 6th January - 17th February 3.30pm - 4.30pm (Years 3 and 4)
  • Friday 7th January - 18th February 3.30pm - 4.30pm (years 5 and 6)

Cost:

£24.50 per term

How to Book:

Bookings must be made via Premier Sport. The School Office cannot make bookings on your behalf. If you have not booked a place in advance your child will not be able to participate. 

What to Bring:

  • Water
  • Clothing suitable for the weather and activity
  • Shin pads
